CHANGE by Nur Ezzati A.

Mahat
Change is a process of being different from before. It could be in any aspect,
from beautiful to ugly, from hard to simple, from good to better, from lazy to
hardworking, to name a few. Without we ever notice, the world is also
changing, towards the better civilization, which nobody knows when it will
be? Along with that, people changes too! Well, there are some bad changes
and good changes. We ourselves could worth a life if we are dare to change
ourselves towards better human. Im not asking to change who we are, but
to focus on our attitude. If we are not good enough, be one. Dare to take
challenge to change ourselves. Success will not come if we didnt do
anything about it. I know how much we want it deep inside our hearts, right?
Few days ago, I had a conversation with my friend. We are a 3rd year
students. She shared about her joy passing the Central Nervous System
exam, as the results was out recently. As someone that had been in that
place before, I felt happy and grateful for her. We are not the best in our
studies, but I strongly believe we always keep studying hard to make sure we
pass all exams in the pre clinical years. Being as a third year student is hard.
The subjects become harder and the pressure of doing the best in each exam
increases. Moreover, all students were highly expected in passing the exams
by their parents, family and sponsors. It is a critical phase which you have to
pass in order to move on to the clinical years. In other words, it is the last
year lies your last chance to pass all the exams.
Well, if you think you need to change for good, start making one! But no one
has ever said that changing is easy as blinking your eyes. Every changes
require many sacrifices and some form of actions which are very hard to us.
Firstly, clarify your goal. What does actually you want? Then, start making
small steps towards it. Dont be too rushing, or too slow. Instead maintain
your speed towards the goal constantly. Work hard for it. Theres a sayings in
Malay, kalau tak dipecahkan ruyung manakan dapat sagunya, which
means, if we really want something, we must do something, but if we just sit
still, nothing will come to us. What better weapon is there other than working
hard? Besides, ask for support from people you love. State that you totally
need some courage and motivation from them. Let them know, you need
them to support you in making changes in your life. Its not going to be easy,
but having your beloved with you, just can keep you through the hard phase
in changing.

Now, ask yourself? Do we dare to make a change, for the sake of better
future? Change could be a complicated process or might be a simpler one. If
you think the way you did things now needed to be change, start the
seedling process, slowly. When you already become a successful man later,
review back things you were bravely enough to change. You will thank
yourself later, by taking steps to change things needed to be.
