April Staff News

April 1 there is a Bake Sale in support of the Relay for Life at Recess.
Soup Day are April 1, 8, 15, 22. April 22 is the final serving of soup this year.
April 3 and 6 are holidays. Enjoy your Easter weekend with your family.
April 8 Mr. Faulds will begin training for the CQSB Track and Field meet with our Grade 5 and 6 students
who want to go to Quebec as participants this year. Practices will be Monday and Wednesday after school.
More information will come home later.
April 10 is the Elementary PAF in Quebec. More details to follow.
April 15 Staff Meeting.
April 21 I will be at a MAC meeting by VC.
April 22 there is a Home and School and Governing Board meeting.
April 23 is a possible date for the PISA test of our 15 year olds. This will affect mostly Sec 3 but there is also
the possibility of a few Sec 4 students being affect. Mic had been in charge of this project and I do not have
all the details of who was taking the test or the firm date of the test. We are obliged by the MELS to have our
students participate in this test.
April 24 is currently set as a Ped Day reserved for a snow day by the Energie Board. I am expecting that it
will become a Ped Day but we have no official communication on this yet. Notice will be sent out once we
have confirmation that the date is set as a snow date. I have sent an enquiry through our official Board
channels.
April 28 there will be another MAC meeting by VC after school.
May 1. Teachers self-declaration for Value Added is due in two weeks! This is a task that is up to you to send
in to me for compensation.
