Blotting Brush Teeth PDF
Blotting Brush Teeth PDF
Dr. Phillips patients described them as the bristles with the split ends.
It is recommended to change the brush every 2-3 weeks (depending on usage). A Blotting Brush is held differently to a normal toothbrush - like a
pencil, with the elbow close to the body, and instead of brushing side-to-side or up-and-down, use a tapping or blotting motion to reach between the
teeth and gums, drawing out the damaging, trapped plaque which causes so many problems.
Many people brush their teeth and think that is enough to keep their mouth clean. But teeth only make up 10% of the mouth. This is like having a
shower but only washing one arm. Even if you clean your teeth twice a day, every day, 90% of your mouth remains dirty. This leaves dead skin cells
on the inside of your mouth which can cause gum disease among other nasty problems.
Dr Phillips simple, yet hugely effective solution, allows you to brush your teeth, tongue and gums using the Blotting Technique. This combination
makes for a healthy, fresh mouth (and lower dental bills!). For those with calculus we strongly recommend having a professional clean from a dental
hygienist first.
Now you may think to yourself Cant I do all of that with a normal toothbrush? Unfortunately not. As I explained earlier the bristles on the Blotting
Brush are unique in their design and texture. Using a toothbrush for brushing and blotting will not do the job.
Are You Starting To See Why The Dental Industry Wants To Keep
This Information Quiet?
Have you ever stopped to think how dentists make their money? Or how companies who manufacture mouthwash or toothpaste make theirs?
Probably not.
So lets think about this for a moment. Dentists focus on curing problems that have already developed such as gum disease, tooth decay and so on.
The Blotting Brush is designed to eliminate many of these problems and prevent them from happening in the first place.
Mouthwash is not needed when you blot.
Heres How You Can Try This Out For Free. You Only Pay If You

know how effective this technique is.
So heres what we are proposing.
As an introductory offer we are offering ten blotting brushes for just 19.95. These brushes will last you approximately 30-35 weeks if you blot every
day.Now in that time, if you do not feel a complete transformation in your dental health, all you need do is send us the brushes back (this is just to
prevent people using our brushes after they have been refunded) and we will provide you with a full, no-questions-asked refund.
The reason we can offer a guarantee like this, where your dental health is transformed or you pay nothing, is because both we know this works. I
have been Blotting daily since 2001; Dr Jung since I introduced them to him in 2007. Our customers know this technique works so were happy for

These brushes contain special bristles that are not found in normal
toothbrushes. The bristles are especially textured to enhance their
capillary action to suck up dental plaque that is associated with gum
disease. The brushes also have rounded and polished bristle tips so
that they are extra gentle on your gums. The brushes come in assorted
colors.
They can also be used for regular tooth brushing or as a travel tooth
brush because they have a container to protect the brush bristles. The
brushes last as long as a normal tooth brush. But you will find that over
time the bristles get dirty with food debris and dead skin cells. The
optimal replacement time for brushes is every 2-4 weeks because
afterwards the brushes are too dirty. You can try boiling the brushes or
washing them with soap to extend the life of the brushes.
The small brushes are to tap behind the teeth and clean the gums
along the teeth inside your mouth. The small brushes are also good for
children and people with smaller mouths.
Gum Cleaning Video Note: Many people still benefit from regular tooth
brushing with herbal tooth powder. Provided that the brushing is not
excessively damaging the gums. If you do brush, make sure to do your
gum cleaning AFTER brushing and not before.
This is a 2-6 month supply, the brushes are to be replaced every 2-4
weeks. You will notice after a while the bristles become softer and build
up with debris so you will want to replace them. Dr. Phillips
recommended to clean your gums with gum cleaning brushes
(functions nearly the same as blotting brushes) 2-3 days per day for
best results.
Price: $12.97
Product: 2 large brushes, 2 small brushes

The large brushes are for general gum cleaning. The small brushes are
for cleaning behind the teeth or for children. The brushes come in

Originally developed in 1969 the Blotting Brush is generally smaller and has textured
bristles that are thinner than in conventional brushes. The bristles are designed to go
under the gumline and between the teeth to draw in plaque and particles of food.
Dr. Phillips dedicated his periodontal practice to the belief that patients should be
taught to care for their own mouths; that gum disease and subsequent surgery and
tooth loss were unnecessary if the mouth was cared for properly. He lectured
tirelessly around the world to promote teeth for a lifetime. The Phillips Blotting
Technique definitely goes beyond the brushing and flossing routine to give you a
new standard of clean. Its simplicity and inexpensiveness makes it understandable
and affordable for everyone.

More information
Achieving and maintaining a healthy mouth is within the reach of everyone. With
proper care through the Phillips Blotting Technique, you can expect to keep your
teeth and gums decay and disease free for a lifetime. Cavities, uncomfortable dental
cleanings, oral surgery and tooth loss can be avoided by using this simple,
revolutionary technique. Despite all the specialty toothpastes and mouthwashes
available today, people still have gum disease, many without ever knowing it. For
over 50 years, the Phillips Blotting Technique has been effectively used to eliminate
the causes of gum disease. Those who have been fortunate enough to use this
unique dental hygiene program have enjoyed a lifetime of fresh breath, clean teeth
and healthy gums. Even patients with severe gum disease have used this
programme as an alternative to costly, painful surgery.
Gum Disease and Cavities
The first signs of gum disease are easy to diagnose and often originate, contrary to
popular belief, in the teenage years. No matter how old you are, if your gums bleed
when you brush your teeth, or you notice a white or yellow build up where your teeth
meet your gums, you will have gum disease. In advanced stages, the bleeding may
stop but the teeth begin to move apart and the gums recede, eventually to the point
where they can no longer support the teeth. The cause of gum disease is plaque
that forms along the gumline. When plaque collects there, it causes gingivitis, an
irritation of the gums which causes them to swell and bleed. Healthy gums form an
elastic seal around each tooth to keep plaque and bacteria away from the sensitive
root. Plaque toxins and enzymes attack healthy gums, eventually creating crevices
The bacteria harboured in plaque turn sugars into acid. Normally this acid is not
strong enough to dissolve the enamel on teeth, but under plaque, these acids
become strong enough to dissolve teeth. Removing the plaque with the Phillips
Blotting Technique will eliminate the crevices where acid-forming bacteria hide. In a
clean mouth, free of plaque, even sugary foods cannot damage the teeth. An
exception to this is soda pops, with the diet sodas being the worst because of their
high acid content. Normal toothbrushing, unfortunately, pushes plaque deeper in the
crevices around the teeth. The Phillips Blotting Technique, utilizing a specially
designed brush, reaches into those crevices and Blots the plaque out. Once these
plaque deposits are removed through Blotting, the gums are on their way back to
being healthy and protecting teeth. Making the Phillips Blotting Technique a part of
your daily oral hygiene will ensure that your teeth and gums remain healthy for a
lifetime.
The Phillips Blotting Techniqueis a method of mouth care that actually removes
plaque. Plaque is the sticky, white substance that forms on teeth, between them and
in the area between the teeth and gums, called the sulcus. Quite simply, plaque is
the cause of dental disease. Whereas brushing moves this plaque around the mouth
and under the gums, the Phillips Blotting Technique is the only proven dental
hygiene method that actually removes it from the mouth and this is the key to total
oral health for a lifetime.
'Blotting' is a tapping motion rather than a brushing technique.
The Phillips Blotting Technique itself is based on capillary action; that is the principle at work when a
sponge soaks up liquid or when paint is drawn up into the bristles of a brush. Capillary action lifts and
holds plaque in the brush so that it can be removed.
Of course, no matter how well you have cleaned the teeth, your mouth still remains
90% dirty, as teeth occupy on 10% of the surface of your mouth, so it is just as
important to clean the gums, cheeks, roof, floor and tongue as well. Learn how to
eliminate bad breath without mouthwash. The Phillips Blotting Technique covers all
of this and more. You can floss with the bristles too.
disease. As time goes on this leads to more curettage and surgery, and eventually, extraction of the
teeth.
The truth of the matter is that brushing and flossingcausesperiodontal disease
Cleaning under the gums daily will keep the disease from getting started and, in most cases, will heal
the gums. By using a special bristled brush with much the same texture as a paint brush, it can draw
plaque from underneath the gum and heal gum disease in over 98% of the cases. This will also keep
the gum disease from reoccurring.
I always told my patients if you want to see what brushing does, just lay a rug on a dirty kitchen floor
and brush or sweep around and onto the rug and when you lift the rug up, you will see that most of
the dirt is packed at the edge of the rug. The same thing happens when your brush you teeth. The
sulcus (the groove between the gum and the tooth) is always the dirtiest after brushing. You should
not brush your teeth unless you can clean the sulcus out afterwards. By the way, brushing is only for
cosmetics. As dentistry has insisted that people brush more, periodontal disease has attacked much
younger people with gingivitis (bleeding gums). This is the precursor to periodontal disease
(pyorrhea).
If you use the Blotting Brush (recommended for this cleaning technique) to clean under the gum plus
the entire mouth, you will have a healthy mouth and a pleasant breath.

After his death in 2003, Dr. Phillips work was nearly completely lost in
a house fire. Although holistic dentists the length and breadth of the
USA and Canada begged his family to continue his significant legacy
and carry on making the Blotting Brushes available, the dynamic
driving force had gone. Fortunately his daughter let us continue this
groundbreaking work on his behalf.
From a faily of Clydeside Scots, Graeme was born and brought up in
Hong Kong. He lived there for 35 years as well as in Indonesia and
Borneo. Intrigued by the way in which different Asian cultures approach
their health and wellbring, he studied aspects of Ancient Chinese
Medicine and became acquainted with many other time-proven healing
strategies, from the traditional Jamu herbal medication healers of Java
to the body-balancing mechanisms of Jin Shin Jyutsu from Japan.
Together with his wife Phylipa, Graeme now runs Resources For Life, a
natural health business in Chichester, West Sussex. A lot of what is
available on their internet site has origins steeped in traditional wisdom.
