By the end of the lesson, students should be able to :


1. Write sentences using different words that expresses
happiness.
The students will be successful if they can :
1. Draw ideas on own knowledge/experiences for ideas
2. Restate words/phrases in different context.
STARTER :
- Define happy to students to give a clearer understanding.
- BRAINSTORM for things that makes them happy.
MAIN ACTIVITIES :
1.Teacher distributes worksheet on identifying what makes them
happy. Students are required to tick at least 5 things/aspects that
makes them happy.
2. Students get into groups of list down 5 things that makes them
happy (no repetition of idea is allowed), students explain why it
makes them happy.

PLENARY :
1. Teacher gives each student a worksheet on vocabulary
builder to expand their vocabulary knowledge on words relating
to the state of being happy to further assist them in writing.
2. Students have to also construct sentences based on two new

words given in the worksheet.


HOMEWORK (OPTIONAL) :
1. Students are asked to write one paragraph what makes them
happy and why using the ideas gathered in the lesson today.
