FADE IN:
EXT. PARK BENCH MIDDAY
Female Asian JASMINE (21), dressed casual with long
hair, is sitting on the park bench, legs crossed, on
her phone with her earphones in. She has her pen and
notebook next to her.
EXT. PARK MIDDAY
TERRELL (Male 22), dressed casual is walking in the
park and he notices a girl sitting on a bench. TERRELL
makes his way towards the park bench until he steps on
a pen. He looks down and picks it up and notices the
weird design with the words Time Machine, he puts it
in his top shirt pocket. He carries on walking towards
the bench.
CUT TO:
TERRELL walks into the scene.
TERRELL
Hi, is this seat taken?
JASMINE takes out one of her earphones and looks at
TERRELL.
JASMINE
Nope.
TERRELL sits down on the bench and stares ahead,
looking nervous. JASMINE glances in his direction
momentarily and returns to her phone. TERRELL finally
faces her way and starts a conversation with her.
TERRELL
So whats your name?
JASMINE
Jasmine.
TERRELL
Jasmine can I call you Jaz for short?
JASMINE
No just Jasmine what about you?
TERRELL

Oh uhh Terrell
JASMINE
Oh ok thats nice name
TERRELL
Yep
JASMINE
Ok
There is a silence for 5 seconds. Both characters
avoid eye contact.
TERRELL
So do you work?
JASMINE
Oh yes, Im a junior doctor. What about you?
TERRELL
Err Err Im an environmental cleaner.
JASMINE looks disappointed.
TERRELL
Err
TERRELL gets the pen out from his pocket looks at it
closes his eyes and clicks it.
TERRELL (V.O)
Please work...
CUTS TO
EXT. PARK MIDDAY
TERRELL opens his eyes.
JASMINE
Oh yes, Im a junior doctor, what about you?
TERRELL looks at the pen, then back at her, and
smiles.
TERRELL
Im also a junior doctor.
JASMINE raises her eyebrows.
JASMINE

Really? Whats your profession?

TERRELL
Errr...the good kind?
JASMINE looks at him weirdly.
Jasmine
The good kind?
TERRELL clicks the pen.
CUTS TO
EXT. PARK MIDDAY
TERRELL
Surgery.
JASMINE takes out her other earphone and turns to face
him.
JASMINE
Really? What hospital do you work in?
TERRELL
Saint Mary.
JASMINE
Ive seen never you before.
TERRELL clicks the pen.
CUTS TO
EXT. PARK MIDDAY
TERRELL
Thats because I work in the west wing.
JASMINE
Wow, so do tell me more.
Montage
CUTS TO
EXT. PARK MIDDAY
TERRELL gets hit in the face with a ball while talking to
JASMINE, resulting in Terrell covering his nose
CUTS TO
TERRELL clicks the pen.

CUTS TO
EXT. PARK MIDDAY
TERRELL dodges the ball without looking, while talking
to JASMINE.
CUTS TO
EXT. PARK MIDDAY
TERRELL saying something, and then Jasmine slapping
him
CUTS TO
TERRELL clicks the pen.
CUTS TO
EXT. PARK MIDDAY
TERRELL saying something, and Jasmine hysterically
laughing.
CUTS TO
EXT. PARK MIDDAY
TERRELL showing JASMINE a card trick and it fails.
CUTS TO
TERRELL clicks the pen.
CUTS TO
EXT. PARK MIDDAY
TERRELL succeeding with the card trick and JASMINE is
impressed.
CUTS TO
EXT. PARK MIDDAY
TERRELL sneezes in her face.
CUTS TO
EXT. PARK MIDDAY
TERRELL getting a tissue before it happens.
END OF MONTAGE
JASMINE
It was nice talking you Ive really enjoyed myself but
Ive got to go.
TERRELL

Thats a shame, let me get your number before you go.

Jasmine gives a small laugh.
JASMINE
Well... Err my phone isnt working.
TERRELL
Really? Well is there anyway I can get into contact
with you?
JASMINE
Well there's Facebook, my last name is Patel.
TERRELL
Noted. So where you heading off to?
JASMINE
Oh... I got to go see my boyfriend.
JASMINE gives a weak laugh getting further from the
bench.
TERRELL
You never told me you had a boyfriend...
TERRELL is now standing up, raising his voice as
Jasmine walks away.
JASMINE
You never told me you were a cleaner...
JASMINE raises her voice as she gets further away
(close up of TERRELLs badge).
CUTS TO
EXT. PARK MIDDAY
TERRELL sits down, sighs, pulls out the pen and clicks.
