My target audience are unisex are aged between 15 35 and I have given
it an age rating of 15 according to the BBFC because the viewing content
is only suitable for those 15 and above. It is also targeted at
Working/Middle class because they are more likely to see the film and
enjoy films that involves chases as such Maze Runner which also had an
audience from a similar socio-economic group. Also the Higher classes are
most likely to be busy with their careers and may not find the time to go
to the cinema. I have chosen to target an audience who are from a range
of different ethnicities, this is because it targets a larger audience. Also I
didnt think it would appeal to one ethnicity more than others. However it
is not aimed at people with views about violence as horror films generally
contain quite a bit of violence. In addition plot appeals to the audience
regardless of the ethnic background thus meaning it can be enjoyed by
everyone. The film is aimed at people in the socio-economic group C1, C2,
D and E because these are the average working people or manual workers
(who have jobs like a bank clerk, or shop assistants) or people who dont
work. As our main target socio-economic group will be at work during the
day we have to make sure that the film will air prime time during the
evening to make sure they will be at home.
