I firmly and whole heartedly believe that Shawna would be a welcome and extremely positive addition to any academic community, putting her students and their well-being first in all of her endeavors, She isa strong, cating, passionate, and genuine individual who strives to not only meet, but exceed, any expectations placed before her. had the opportunity of having Shawna as a clinician with me at Wauwatosa West High School. Shawna is an intelligent individual who also has a keen insight into the social constructs of the classroom environment. She was able to read comfort and ability levels of her students and adjust her lessons aecordingly to make sure every student was engaged and felt safe in the classroom, She also has an intuition and kind-hearted nature that students not only connect to but also respect and value. It is clear that her student-first mindset is not driven by job requirements or collegiate courses, but rather by her character and genuine concem for those around her, Her work in the classroom is driven by her love of learning and her selfless disposition. Shawna had a great working relationship with not only me but all of the professionals around her. ‘The days that I had Shawna with me in the classroom were much more fluid, as the classroom benefitted immensely from her interactions and additional opportunities for classroom management. Shawna executes her responsibilities in a professional manner and brings an air of enthusiasm to a many times stressful and overwhelming environment, Her always positive outlook and endless appreciation for education does not go unnoticed by students or professionals around her.
