The class of NSTP 2 (CWTS) section EN 2 of Second Semester 2015-2016 is composed of 33 students from the College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology (CEAT) and College of Forestry and Natural Resources (CFNR) under the supervision of Engr. Angelie Revilla of the Industrial Engineering Department. The contribution and participation of every student in the conducted trainings at Brgy. Bitin, Bay, Laguna differed based on the expertise of each degree program since the class was divided and grouped according to their respective fields. Students from the Department of Civil Engineering focused on planning on how to incorporate physical outputs and the conservation of the environment in the training taking into consideration the capability of the participants and therefore ended up with the Eco-bag Making. The Dishwashing Liquid Making is headed by the students taking Chemical Engineering since they were the ones who know more about the composition, chemical properties and processing of the said product. Industrial Engineering students gave a lecture on the importance of joining Cooperatives to the partner community dwelling more on the aspects of management and budget allocation, and also documented the entire training. Candle Making and a Seminar on Energy Conservation were conducted by the students from the Department of Electrical Engineering, focusing on the tips on how to minimize electrical consumption by a typical Filipino family household. Students from the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering and the College of Forestry alongside with the other students from the previously mentioned degree programs helped and assisted all throughout the training. In every session conducted, Iskolars coming from different departments with different expertise became united in achieving a common goal the success of the community welfare and training service program for the benefit of the senior citizen community of Brgy. Bitin, Bay, Laguna.
