Dear Participant,

On behalf of Uniteam Medical Assistance, we would like to welcome you to the Basic Life Support (BLS) course.
You will receive your BLS for Healthcare Providers Student Manual copy, reviewing it before the class will assist your
learning and you will be more comfortable with the course as well as the written assessment.
You will be practicing skills that require kneeling, bending and standing, please wear comfortable casual clothing. If
you have any physical conditions that might prevent these activities, please tell your instructor, they will work to
accommodate your needs within the stated course completion requirements.
Some conditions such as recent surgeries or pregnancy may require advice from your doctor as to whether or not
you should participate in skill practices at this time. If you are pregnant, please check with your physician for
approval of your participation at this training.
If you have any reasons that might prevent you from completing the course requirements please inform your
training coordinator prior to the course.
Kindly note that the skills practice sessions and written/skills assessments are mandatory for successful completion
of the course.
