Welcome to the BLS for Healthcare Providers Course. Enclosed are the agenda and your Access Code
of the BLS for Healthcare Providers manual (eBook) to help you prepare for the course. This advance
preparation will be very valuable: you will learn more and will be more comfortable with the course.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will be practicing skills that require working on your hands
and knees, bending, standing, and lifting. Wearing of sleeveless shirt, shorts, and slippers are strictly not
allowed. If you have any physical conditions that might prevent these activities, please tell one of the
instructors when you arrive for the course. The instructor will work to accommodate your needs within the
stated course completion requirements.
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course is designed to train you in the lifesaving skills of both CPR and
relief of choking. Because the BLS for Healthcare Providers Course covers a lot of material in a relatively
short time, advance preparation is required.
1. Reviewing your BLS for Healthcare Providers manual (eBook), paying particular attention to the
steps of CPR and relief of choking.
2. Carefully reading the objectives at the beginning of each section.
After completing the training, AHA eCard and certificate for this course will be given to you through the
CPRVerify. Instructions on how to retrieve these will be sent to you also by email after the course.
If you have any questions about the course, please call Jazz or Angel at 420-2000 Loc 7554.
Sincerely,
