Manufacturing Welding

Grade: 11

Day 1 Talk about the uses of oxy-fuel cutting/welding, go over safety precautions with
the use of the torch.

Day 2 Review safety precaution with oxy-fuel torch use. Go over the procedures how to
hook up and adjust the torch and regulators. Demonstrate proper set up, then
have each student demonstrate.

Day 3 I show them how to make a straight cut and how to piece a hole. Then have each
student demonstrate how to set the torch up make the cuts then break it down.

Day 4 Review with student safety precaution and dangers associated with oxy-fuel
operations. Review=Questions and Cues, homework and practice, then begin
demonstrating how to properly set up and use the track torch. Then have
everyone demonstrate.
Day 5 Have everyone demonstrate setup and make two cuts with the track torch for a
grade.
