The students will unpack themselves by placing


their notebook in the , lunchbox on top of the
mailboxes, and complete the morning work at
their seat.

The teacher will go through the calendar and


morning message. Students will participate in an
interactive lesson where they will focus on the
phonemic awareness skill of the week.
Students will focus on 1 story a week. In this
workshop time, students will go in-depth into a
particular story by focusing on characters, story
retell, vocabulary, authors purpose, text
connections, and developed opinions of the story.
The students will begin the first 15 minutes with
independent reading time. The students will also
receive instruction in letter sounds, sight words,
and reading fluency while rotating and working in
small groups either independently or with a small
group instructor.
The students will receive reading instruction
based upon their tested deficits.

The students will work to grow and strengthen


their writing throughout the year as they progress
through the outlined writing units where they will
focus on sentence formation, sound spelling, and
proper punctuation and capitalization.
Music/ Art/ Gym/ Computer Lab/ Guidance /
Library - Students will rotate through the listed
areas based upon a school wide rotation
schedule. Students will visit 1 area each day.
The students will answer a daily prompt located
inside of their math journals. The students will
receive math instruction based upon their tested
deficits.
The students will eat snack before playing.
The students will progress through the
kindergarten math workshop units in whole
group, small group, and independent practice
time while visiting 2 different stations each day.

Students will move to their assigned locations to
begin the dismissal process.
