4 basic steps of setting up a company in Slovenia:

Business idea/model
The status choice for your company
Verification of conditions
Registration of your company
There are multiple ways of starting a business, but there are two
main paths or statuses.
The 1st one is called Podjetnik (s.p.) and that basically means
self-employed (entrepreneur)
A person starts with registration on AJPES (An agency for managing
business register). There is no need for a start-up capital and all the
responsibility lays on a personal wealth.
Biggest advantages of starting an s.p. company are:
that the registration of your company is quickest and cheapest,
your business bookkeeping is easier
simpler cash transactions
Biggest disadvantages of starting a s.p. company are:
personal money responsibility for business
it's harder to sell your service or product
The 2nd way of starting a business in Slovenia is to start
Gospodarsko drubo. I think the closest translation to english is ,
and that is a group up to 50 people starting a business. Gospodarske
drube are divided in two groups:
personal (d.n.o. (Unlimited company), k.d.)

capital (d.o.o. (ltd) ,d.d. (co.), k.d.d.)

D.o.o. (Ltd.) is the most frequently used in the business world so
we're going to do a brief description of what it is:
D.o.o. stands for druba z omejeno odgovornostjo , and that means
Limited Company (Ltd). Basic features of d.o.o. are:
there is no personal business responsibility
there is a 7500 of starting capital
17% of your profit goes for taxes
A group of owners is limited to 50
Company has at least one CEO
D.o.o. has salary deposit salary represents an expense / But at s.p.
a profit represents a salary, so salary is not an expense.
