Introduction
To improve draining in case of some (potentially) clogged drain bores in the
injection control unit (ICU), a second outlet pipe connection has been
added. Because of the two pipe connections, the leakage drain piping had to
be rearranged accordingly.

New features

2.1

Leakages from high pressure pipes

Fuel leakages from high pressure (HP) injection pipes and nipples are taken
out of the ICU block separately.

2.2

Internal leakages
Internal leakages from the quantity piston, control oil piston and/or block
fractures are drained through the lower connection at the aft-side of the ICU
block.

Scope of delivery
With the delivery of an ICU, a new set of pipes with corresponding pipe
connections will be part of the shipment.
Attention! You will get an ICU with the new execution, irrespective of
having returned an old ICU version with only one outlet pipe connection.
Important! The pipes have to be connected to the ICU and the existing
drain line, as shown in the below picture.
