District Grading Guidelines - (Grades 6-12)

Post a minimum of one grade per student per week (PE/Music at the middle
school level should be monitored weekly).
Assignments will be accepted up to two weeks after the date for which the
assignment was returned to the student. If an assignment is submitted during
this two week period, the percent the late assignment is docked is a maximum of
10%.
After two weeks or at the end of the quarter(middle level), semester (high
school), the assignment will be recorded as a zero. Exceptions to this time
frame will be with administrative knowledge only.
Based on teachers discretion, teacher shall allow students to retake
assessments within a reasonable amount of time to be determined by the PLC.
Student will receive full credit for the highest grade earned on the assessments.
Teachers will base their grades on the following: a minimum of 70% of a
students grade will be based on formal, standards based assessments
that are summative in nature; a maximum of 30% will be based on
informal, standards based assignments that are formative in nature.
