Guidelines for Writing 80 Words & One Page Summary of

FYP
You have to write 2 summaries.
1. 80 Words
2. One Page
Both the summaries should not be same. Though the method or the idea will
be same but wordings must not be same in it.
Write both the summaries and then get it approved from your respective
advisor/co-advisor before actual printing it on the flex.
Both the summaries are to be the Abstract of the FYP thesis report. These
abstract should include:
Brief background of the project (i.e. the literature review without the
references)
Brief overview of the required work to be done in the FYP (i.e. the work
approved in the PDD Project Definition Document)
Briefly state what work you have been able to achieve in the FYP
State what work you have not been able to achieve which was
approved in the PDD along with reasons for not achieving it.
What is the utility or utilization of your FYP
Budget spent on the FYP
Your recommendations for any future work which can be carried out on
this project by the students of coming badges
You have to make two flexes for these summaries which will be hanged or
kept on the soft board in the Aircraft Structure lab along with your FYP
Project model one week prior to the day of FYP presentation up to the day
there is new batch to be ready with their Projects.
These flexes should contain the following Details

Name/Title of the project

Picture of the project
Group number and group Members names
Name of supervisor
Name of Co- Supervisor

Size of the flexes will be informed to you as soon as possible.
Both of these summaries are to be submitted to the department in 13 th week
of the 8th semester.

NOTE:- CONSULTS YOUR SUPERVISOR/CO-SUPERVISOR FOR THESE

SMMARIES OTHERWISE IF ANY MISTAKE FOUND, YOU WILL HAVE TO
MAKE NEW FLEXES AND YOUR SUPERVISOR/CO-SUPERVISOR WILL
NOT BE RESPONSIBLE.
