WellStar Community Hospice Family Bereavement Camp

Camp Tranquility is a family day camp for campers age 6 to 17 and their parents/caregivers
who have experienced the death of a loved one.
Campers will engage in fun, age-appropriate activities such as arts/crafts, water sports,
family activities, free time, break-out groups and group sessions, while learning about
and processing their grief experience. Activities and sessions are led by masters-level and
above staff who are trained in child/teen/adult bereavement support and counseling.
Adults will enjoy activities with Mark Dannenfelser, MA, MPS, LPC, of The Mindfulness
Center. Mark is a renowned leader who teaches stress reduction and grief support
throughout Georgia.
Youth campers must be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older.

The fee is $25 per family unit, with scholarships available to allow children and adults to experience this day
