To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Daniel Ellerbrock and Im seeking employment as one of your software engineering interns. I am
currently a sophomore in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Missouri University of Science and
Technology. In your Job posting you mention you require a skilled candidate who can program in C++, follow
and improve current documentation, strong speaking skills, and have the ability to work cooperatively in a
team. Through classes and diligent study, I have become well versed in C++. As head of my Fraternities IT
committee, one of my duties is to create documentation of our current technology available to the fraternity
member that is clear and concise. As a four-year veteran and President of my High Schools drama club, I am a
seasoned public speaker and communicator. I can communicate clearly. It is clear that no work can be
accomplished without team management. I have experience being a part of a team in my Fraternity. I also have
experience leading a team, when I was a brass technician at the City of St. Charles School District. Both of
these opportunities offered challenges that I had never faced before but as a hard worker and patient leader I can
overcome whatever challenges the company faces. I believe that my assets would be a perfect addition to the
team at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories.
My education at Missouri S&T is an asset that I believe will be of great use to your company. Electrical and
Computer Engineering offer a variety of challenges to the student and the time management and critical
thinking skills I posses I will be of great use. My technical experience and my thirst for knowledge will allow
me to deeply invest in the projects you provide for me and I will deliver the highest quality product an asset of
particular value to your company.
My experience as chairmen of my fraternities web committee has taught me many life and technical skills that I
believe will be of particular interest for your company. Many of the problems brought to my attention are
relatively easy to resolve. However, I tend to receive them in mass, I am patient allowing me to get work done
faster and allowing the people I help to be satisfied with my work. This persona of patience and satisfaction will
be of great use at your company.
I would like to thank you for reading this letter and I hope to be in contact with one of your representatives
soon. If you wish to contact me and discuss my skills and experience for the job you may do so with the contact
information on my enclosed resume.
Regards,
Daniel Ellerbrock
