STATUS OF WORKS TO DATE

COMPONENT A
A00: GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Supply of all the items of A00: General Requirements related to Employers/Engineers facilities.
Insurance for work, third party &contractors equipment and labor was issued on 05/06/2013.
On 26/06/2013 it was carried out a visual inspection of the runway with AYESA, Employer and
Contractor.Pavement Evaluation and Field Works (HWD, GPR Test) were carried out in July. All
surveys, tests, coring works& evaluation activities had been accomplished. Additional coring works
was being conducted and accomplished for the Evaluation & Design of Pavement Works.Revised
Final Report and revised BOQ were submitted.
Office Refurbishment works was accomplished.
The construction of Car park Concrete Pavement & Roofing works was accomplished.
Laboratory Building construction work was accomplished and Engineers LaboratoryEquipments
were supplied accordingly. New lot of equipment was also delivered to the Laboratory.
Improvement & maintenance of temporary roads, temporary fencing works, etc. have been in
progress since the commencement of the project.
Environment Management activities have been conducted simultaneously with the construction
activities since the commencement of the project.

 Safety & Security Management activities have been conducted simultaneously with the
construction activities since the commencement of the project.
QA/QC tests have been conducted simultaneously with the construction activities since the
commencement of the project.

A03: RUNWAY EXTENSION

The detail survey of runway extension was completed and submitted.
Borehole works accomplished in A03 area.
Preparation of temporary site access roads/routes,fences,gates & facilities in progress as per site
requirements.
Demolition works in progress as per site requirements.
Clearing & Grubbing and Topsoil removal (Stage-1) works were accomplished.
Disposal of cleared materials work was accomplished.
Verification of U/G / buried cables location under Airfield Lighting System was carried out.
Drainage System works in progress with respect to new design received from the Engineer.
Additional Sub-Surface Drainage works also in progress.
Excavation works accomplished for Runway Extension Area 1. Extra excavation works in progress
due to unsuitable soil encountered. Trial laying of Geo-Grid materials in progress.
Formation Fill (CBR 5%) works in progress.
Optical Fibre Cables relocation & installation work was accomplished.
Shifting of threshold withPAPI calibration work was accomplished.
Arrangement of Temporary Airfield Lightings works in progress as per site requirement.
Security Building construction activities in progress.

A04: PARALLEL TAXIWAY AND INTERNATIONAL APRON

The detail survey of the Parallel Taxiway and International Apron was completed and submitted.
Temporary fencing was carried out at the side of Army Officers Golf Club.
Cutting of trees and branchingwas accomplished.Borehole works was accomplished in A04 area.
Demolition works in progress as per site requirements.
Clearing & Grubbing, Topsoil removal works in progress.
Disposal of cleared material is in progress.
Transportation of embankment fills materials at site in progress.
Trial compaction work was accomplished.Formation fills (CBR5%) compaction works in progress.
Installation of settlement plates in progress.
Preparation of temporary site access roads/routes,fences,gates & facilities in progress as per site
requirements.
Drainage System works in progress. Some additional Sub-Surface Drainages works also in
progress.
Slab Culvert works in progress.

A06: POWER SUPPLY (P1,P2& GENERATOR)

Contract being signed with sub-contractor and documentation works in progress.

A09: WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM

Contract being signed with sub-contractor and documentation works in progress.

A10: INCINERATOR FACILITIES

Contract being signed with sub-contractor and documentation works in progress.
Engineers Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) was successfully accomplished.

A11: FOAM TENDER

FAT & Factory Training at Manufacturer Place was accomplished successfully.
Vehicle had been alreadyhanded over to Client after successful training & SAT at site.

A12 8: ACCESS ROAD OF ITB EXPANSION AREA

Clearing and Grubbing and Topsoil Removal works were completed.

Borehole works and cutting of trees were accomplished in A12-8 area.
Preparation of temporary site access fences, gates & facilities was accomplished.
Construction of S3 building was accomplished.
Subsurface drainage work was accomplished. Surface drainage system works in progress.
Soak pit construction work was accomplished.
New water tank soak construction works in progress.
Retaining wall works at left & right side was accomplished. Filter fabrics materials filling work was
also accomplished.
Construction of Store S1&S2 platform & installation of 6 containers was accomplished. The shifting
of existing store materials into new containers was accomplished.
Trial compaction was accomplished for Access Road.Along CAA Road - Formation fills (CBR5%)
compaction work, subgrade surface preparation work, subbase & base preparation works were
accomplished and hence the road has been opened as temporary diversion road.Along ITB Road Formation fills (CBR5%) compaction work, subgrade surface preparation work, subbase& base
preparation works in progress.
Demolition of Quarter Building, Guard House& existing Canteen Building was accomplished. Guard
house was shifted temporarily in the new S3 Store Building.Canteen was shifted to the temporarily
arranged place.
Construction of New Canteen Building (First Floor) was accomplished.
New Guard House construction activities in progress.

COMPONENT B
B01: INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL BUILDING

Survey works&Borehole works were accomplished.

Preparation of temporary site access fences & facilities was accomplished.
Clearing & Grubbing work was accomplished in Gate Lounge & Baggage Claim Areas.
Cutting of trees was completed.

Trench excavation work was accomplished to locate the buried cables/pipes, etc. Shifting of existing
sewer pipes was accomplished.
Plate load tests were accomplished.
Construction of Retaining Wall at Arrival Baggage Claim Area is in progress.
Construction of manholes work in progress at Arrival Baggage Claim Area.
Structural foundation worksat Gate Lounge Area in progress.
Staircase demolition works in Gate Lounge Area in progress. Other demolition works in progress as
per site requirements.

COMPONENT C
Contract finalization work was accomplished with sub-contractor regarding the Works at RARA
&Simikot Airports (except Terminal Equipment).
MAS was submitted to the Engineer for approval (except Terminal Equipment).

SAFETY & OPERATIONAL TRAINING

Conducted by CONSTRUCTORA SANJOSE S.A. with the purpose of increasing the knowledge of
whose duties and responsibilities in Airside Operation of TIA, safety training was provided by our
Operational & Safety Manager.
This month, the safety training was carried out on 18/05/2014 at 14:00. Ten (10) people were at the
training.
