PleaseconsiderthislettertobemystrongrecommendationforGinnyCallaghanforanyteachingposition
youhaveavailable.OurexecutiveboardhiredGinnyin2014toworkforSouthClareviewPlayschool.In
thosetwoyears,shehasfacedseveralchallengesandexceededexpectationsinallofthemmoving
locationstwice,timemanagement,planningnewclassroomactivities,andhelpingchildreninthe
classroom.
Our2014/15schoolyearbeganinatemporarylocation.Ginnywasabletotakethespaceandresources
shehadandmakethespaceherown.Thechildrenfeltwelcomeinthenewspaceandwiththeirnew
teacher.Wemovedbacktoourpermanentspaceforthe2015/16schoolyear.Shemadethetransitions
easyforthechildren.
Despitebeingenrolledinuniversitystudiessimultaneously,Ginnywasabletolessonplanandmanage
herclassroomasthoughitwasheronlycommitment.Iftherewaseveraschedulingconflictbetween
universityandplayschool,shecameupwithasolutionbeforeevenpresentingtheconflicttothe
executiveboard.Hertimemanagementskillswereexceptional.
Ginnybroughtsomenewandexcitingideastotheclassroom.Shebroughtinacheftoteachthechildren
abouthealthyeatinghabits,andsheintroducedthechildrentoanartistwhotaughtthemsomenewart
techniques.Newideaswereagreatadditiontoourclassroom.
Thisyear,someofthechildrenenrolledhadtroubleadjustingtoplayschoolsituationssuchasbeingaway
fromtheirparents,sharingwiththeirfriends,andacceptableclassroombehavior.Ginnytookeachof
thesesituationsseriouslyandspokewithparents,theexecutiveboard,andourlicensingofficertogetthe
resourcessheneededtohelpeachchildfitinandenjoytheirtimeatplayschool.
