Necessity to be checked with the Diagnostic tool after an accident, attempted of theft or
before selling a used vehicle.
After detection of an impact, the airbag computer locks definitively and the instrument
panel warning light stay illuminated. It is mandatory to replace the airbag computer and the
side impact sensors.
De-activation:
Before any operation, airbag computer should be locked with diagnostic tool
Disconnect the battery by the negative cable and protect it
Activation:
Connect the battery
Use of diagnostic tool to check all is ok and then unlock the airbag computer
Destruction of components:
Recommended tools should be used
Car battery should be disconnected
Destruction on car not recommended
Destruction outside the car should be done under used tires
Connect the tool to the unit, then to a battery and move to a safe distance to operate
