Clairemont High School Foundation

Meeting Minutes
February 9, 2016
The meeting was called to order at 7:02pm by Colleen Kleege. Those in attendance were:
Colleen Kleege, Paula Cunningham, Lynne Bonenberger, Heidi Fulton, Tina Dimalanta, and
Patty Moreau.
The minutes from the January meeting were approved with one small correction. (Corrected
place name to Comedy Palace, not Comedy Store.)
TREASURERS REPORT: Paula presented the Treasurers report for January and February.
The current account balance is $8088.34. We will be giving the PTSA $390.60 for their share of
the Chieftan Pledge. The Disney trip for the Thespian Troupe has been paid in full. The
Knightship Scholarship has been funded in full for this year thanks to the efforts of Lori
Schmersal and the sale of t-shirts in memory of Mr. Knight. The $1000.00 donation will be
reflected on the March report. Patty motioned to pay State Farm for the Directors and Officers
Insurance policy as well as our basic liability policy. The motion carried.
UPDATES ON ONGOING ACTIVITIES: Colleen reported that we are set for the Have A Heart
phone a thin. If we can get more volunteers it would be great. She will be bringing dinner in for
the callers. The Spring Fling deposit has been paid to Brick by Brick. Be on the lookout for local
bands that may want to play. Chris has been doing an AWESOME job on the website. Thanks
for all she has done. The banner has arrived, it just needs to be hung.
GRANTS & SPONSORSHIPS: The IT Escape Room is coming along. Framing has started and
they are hoping it will be operational in early April. Taletha Suitts approached the Foundation for
assistance with the cheer monies. Because it is an outside club that is not directly associated
with Clairemont High School we will not be able to help her out with her request.
NEW BUSINESS: We are looking to host a fundraiser at Mikes BBQ. Heidi will approach them
with a few dates to see what will work.
OLD BUSINESS: Board positions for next year were briefly discussed. Lynne will approach
Cathy Lackmann to see if she is interested in the Treasurers position. Otherwise, it sounds like
everyone will continue on. Please communicate to Colleen if you do not wish to remain on the
board next year.
