What will we LEARN?

Students in this course will study both American Civics and World Geography.
Each class is a semester in length. The first semester, we will cover American
Civics where students will be provided a basic knowledge and skills for
functioning in modern American Society. The workings of the American
government and economy are explored, encouraging active citizenship in the
U.S.. For the second semester, World Geography focuses on how students can
apply a geographic perspective to the past, present, and future world.

CELL PHONES and BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE (B.Y.O.D.)

We are officially a B.Y.O.D. school. This means, students, may bring and use their own
devices in classes daily, upon teacher discretion. Inappropriate use will result in
consequences via teacher and/or school. For a daily tech grade (not mandatory), students
will place their devices face down on the top of the globe on their desks. This is worth 2
points /day for an extra 100 point grade each nine weeks.
