IN ADDITION TO REGULAR ASSIGNMENTS, STUDENTS WILL BE REQUIRED

TO:
-keep a sketchbook to be handed in for evaluation on three dates:
1. October 20- approx..10 pages+
2. Dec.8- approx..-10 pages+
3. Exam day- 5+ pages

Quantity
Quality
Variety
Creativity
***Observational drawing- drawing directly by observing objects in the real world
(still life, landscape, portraits by looking at people, places, and things rather than
drawing from photographic references, copying other drawings, drawing from your
imagination, doodling, experimenting with materials, collage, etc. All forms of
drawing are welcome but SOME of the time you should be drawing from direct
observation.
