Monday As it was the first day of the week, I was walking to
my school which was just a few blocks away from my house. As I was walking toward the school, I met a few friends on the way. We walked happily together while sharing stories of our weekends. Suddenly, I heard a loud roaring sound from behind us. It was the school bus that was from the other district. It was unusually fast that day as the driver was somebody else that we do not know, rather than Mr. Harris, the usual driver. The roaring sound was thunderous as it passes us. We continued to walk while enjoying our view as we pass a few parks on the way. Out of nowhere, we heard a loud crash. We rush ourselves to the scene to find the school bus that we had seen earlier flip to the side of the road. The driver was badly injured as was the other 23 student on board. The bus had totally flipped over to the side of the road. We can see the student and the driver frantically trying to escape. The crowd of townspeople quickly came to help the victim. Some of them broke the glass to enable the student to get out while others help the survivors to safety. There were many shouting and crying in the scene. Not long afterward, the authorities arrived. The police set up a safety line around the bus while the paramedics tend to the wounded. The townspeople, still without hesitant, offers theirs help. The crash site was fully restore after 3 hours with the help of everybody. The police said that the driver was not at fault because the breaks were not responding. It was discovered that the bus had involve in an accident earlier that month which may be the cause of the breaks failure. The police advice the public to obey
the speed limit and drives carefully to avoid any other accident in the future.
