Teachers Manual

1. Each correspondent will be given a Pictionary consist of a list of 28 words with


pictures from four different units of Year 2 English textbook.
2. Pupils go through each word by observing the pictures, pronouncing and
spelling the words with teachers guidance.
3. The pupil takes out an envelope from the clues chest and places the picture in
the picture case
4. The letters will be jumbled up and teacher pastes them on the Velcro tape.
5. The correspondent needs to rearrange the letters based on the picture and
copy the word to be written on the three lines whiteboard flashcard.
6. The correspondent tries to write the letters with correct spelling on the 3 lines
card. There will be 3 attempts on spelling the words correctly.
7. A gold coin will be rewarded if he/she manages to spell correctly on the first
attempt. However, if the correspondent makes a spelling mistake on the first
attempt, they still have the chance to get a silver coin on the second attempt. If
the correspondent is still unable to spell correctly on the second attempt, he/she
is given the last chance to correct the spelling to obtain bronze coin. The
correspondent is required to revise the Pictionary and start the game again if
he/she failed all three attempts.
8. Teacher will be the host that checks the spelling. Correspondent will be
penalised (1 gold coin/2 silver coin/3 bronze coin will be taken for each mistake)
if he/she misbehave or does not follow the rules in the game.
9. The spelling kit will be played by every correspondent involved. The pupil with
the highest amount of coin wins the game. The values of the coins are stated
below;
1 gold coin = 3 marks
1 silver coin = 2 marks
1 bronze coin = 1 mark
