diaperortoiletingdetails,naptimes,favouriteactivities,neededsupplies,andanydiscipline
issuesthatmayarise.Thelogwillbekeptinyourchildscubby.Pleasecheckiteachtimeyou
cometopickyourchildup.
MealsandSnackswillbeofferedasperourdailyschedule.Amenuwillbeposted.Food
willbeofferedtochildren,buttheywillnotbeforcedtoeat.Iwillnotifytheparentsifachildis
noteating.
QuietTimeisrequiredforallchildren.Childrenwilleachbegivenacotorplaypentorest
in.Childrenwillnotbeforcedtosleep,butwillberequiredtoliequietlyforthedurationofQuiet
Time,toallowtheotherchildrentogettheresttheyneed.Ifachildisdisturbingtheother
childrenbymakingnoiseormovingaround,theywillbegivenaplaypeninaseparateroomto
spendQuietTimein.OtheractivitieswillnotbeofferedduringQuietTime.
Medicationwillbegivenonlywithwrittenpermissionandinstructions.Anychild
exhibitingthefollowingsymptomswillbesenthomewiththeparent:vomiting,diarrhea,fever
above101F(38.3C),contagiousrash.Ifachilddevelopsanyquestionablesymptomswhilein
care,Iwillnotifyaparentimmediately.
SuppliesDiapers,wipes,formula,breastmilk,babyfoodandanextrasetofclothes
mustbeprovidedwhenneededforeachchild.Iwillprovidesnacksandmeals,2%milk,bottles,
sippycups,bibs,blankets,sheetsandpillows(althoughchildrenarewelcometobringblankets
and/orstuffedanimalsfromhometoo).
ReceiptswillbeprovidedinJanuaryfortheprecedingyear.Pleaseletmeknowifyou
requirethematadifferenttime.TwoWeeksNotice,ortwoweekspaymentinlieuofnotice,is
requiredifyourchildwillnolongerbeattendingYouAreMySunshine.Ireservetherightto
discontinuecareforachildwithoutnoticeforissuessuchas(butnotlimitedto)behaviour
problemsornonpaymentoffees.PleaseCallby9amifyourchildwillnotbeattending
YouAreMySunshineaonagivenday.YouAreMySunshineclosesat6:00pm.Please
call/textmeifyouwillbelate.
Disciplinewillconsistofdistractionanddiversiontechniques(infantsto18monthsof
age),ortimeouts(18monthsandup).Ifnecessary,achildwillbegivenasafeplacetoplay
awayfromtheotherchildren.Aggression(biting,hitting,etc.)willbefollowedbyanimmediate
timeout.AnytimeoutswillberecordedontheCommunicationLog.
ToiletLearningwillbeaspertheDailySchedule.AtPottyTime/DiaperChecktimes,all
childrenthatcanwalkwillbeencouragedtositonthepottyortoilet.Allothertimes,children

willbeassisted(ifneeded)and/orallowedtousethetoiletwhenevertheyneedto.Whenyour
childistoilettraining,pleasedresstheminaPullUportrainingpants.
EvacuationDrillswillbepracticedperiodically.Anemergencycardiskeptforeachchild
inourEvacuationPacksothatparentscanbecontactedifthereisanemergencythatrequires
immediatepickup(fire,etc.).Childrenaretaughttomaketheirwaytothefrontdooratthe
soundofthesmokedetectororwhentheyhearthewordevacuation.Fromtherewewillexit
acrosstheroad.
PickUpIfachildistobepickedupbysomeoneotherthanaparentlistedonthe
registrationform,pleaseletmeknowinadvanceverbally(NOTbyemail,butbyphoneorin
person),andletthemknowIwillbeaskingforphotoidentification.IfIamnottoldinadvance
thatsomeoneotherthanaparentwillbepickingup,Iwillnotreleasethechildtothem.Please
letmeknowifthereareanysensitivecustodyissuesthatpertaintoyourchild.
PaymentYouAreMySunshinenowoffersfulltimespotsandovernightcare.Attherate
of$125/week,$75foradditionalfamilymembers.Toregisteryourchild,acompleted
RegistrationFormisrequired.Theserateswillnotincreaseexceptifdeemednecessaryduring
contractupdateswhichtakeplaceonJanuary1stofeachyear.FeesaredueeachFridayby
5:30pmfortheprecedingweek.Cashisthepreferredformofpayment.Ifpaymentisnot
receivedbyMondaymorningatdropoff,thechildwillnotbeadmittedtocareuntilthepayment
ispaidinfull.
HolidaysYouAreMySunshinewillbeclosedforthefollowingholidays:GoodFriday,
EasterMonday,MemorialDay,LaborDay,Thanksgiving,ChristmasEve/ChristmasDay,New
YearsEve/NewYearsDay.Fulldaycarefeesforalloftheseholidays.
DaysOff(formerlyknownasVacationandSickDays)Familiesareentitledto10(ten)
dayseachyearofdaysoffathalfrate.Thesedayscanbetakenforanyreason(becausea
childissick,familyvacation,doctorsappointments,etc.).Unlessyouletmeknowotherwise,I
willchargehalfthedailyrateforanyabsentdaysuntilyour10daysareusedup.Afterthat,all
days,evenifabsentduetosickness,willbechargedatfullrate.
2016ContractAgreementPleasesigntheattachedformtoacknowledgethatyouhave
readthesepolicies,thatyouunderstandthem,andthatyouagreetoabidebythem.
