Court Story

Jamair Johnson

A man was charged after he allegedly attacked a woman at her house leaving her eyes
badly damaged. He was charged earlier today at the Half Way Tree Magistrate Court.
The name of the accused is twenty seven year old Michael Morrison.
Morrison allegedly held the complainant Tiffany Cornwell by the neck and punched
her in the face repeatedly on October 22 2015.
I plea guilty with explanation your honor said Morrison after he was asked by
judge Judith Pusey what was his plea.
Pusey asked if he started the fight, to which Morrison replied, Yes, I attacked her
because she wont stop provoking me
Her mother came out of the house with bottles and started to hit me, but I walked
away, said Morrison.
Morrison went on to say that while he was walking away, Cornwell still attacked him
and he retaliated because he was frustrated.
I never wanted that to happen, I am a people person, said Morrison
Pusey replied that Morrison saying that he is a people person does not give him purity.
Morrison was asked to apologize to the complainant.
I had no right to do it and Im sorry, I am human. Said Morrison to Cornwell.
Both Morrison and Cornwell will return to court on January 4, 2016
Morrison was charged with Assault OB (Occasionally body harm)
