Project Assignment

Each group has to create project title and a manager needs to be appointed to lead
the project. The project title must be based on problem solving or product
development in any industrial fields. Project managers are required to structure a
complete organization for the project management. Among the factors that
influence the success of a project is the implementation of an orderly process. One
of the implementation process used is Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
Each group must provide a selected WBS for the project in detail. A chief must be
appointed for each unit / section in the WBS. Head of unit / division also must list
the activities in the unit / part in detail and period for the completion of these
activities should be set (based on studies; internet / technical reports). If all the
periods of each activity have been defined, the project manager must provide a
network diagram and determine the critical period for the entire project using the
critical path method (CPM). Gantt charts should also be produced by WBS, network
diagrams and CPM.
