Abstract

This documents describes the technical requirements for proposals for TG4j.

Purpose

To accompany the Call for Proposals and to motivate contributions.

TG4j Technical Requirements

General
Proposals shall comply with requirements of the FCC MBAN rules [1], [2].
Proposals shall comply with the TG4j 15-11-0071 PAR as accepted by NesCom.
Proposals shall comply with the TG4j 15-10-0261-06 Medical Body Area Networks 5 Criteria
document.

PHY
Proposal should address PHY changes required for the movement of medical data in proximity to
the body as per FCC MBAN Rules [1][2].

Proposals shall address the amount of reusability of existing 802.15.4 implementations operating
in the 2450 MHz band [3]

MAC
Only additional MAC requirements to support the proposed Physical Layer and the FCC MBAN
rules [1][2].

Channelization
A channelization plan shall be part of each proposal.
