Karinas costumes

Pyjamas
She first appears in pyjamas to show to the audience
her innocence as she is still young. This is so that
mothers can emphasise for her more by making her
seem more child like. The colour of this costume is
dull so...

Black top and jeans

The main costume we chose for Karina
was a black top and jeans. This is
because we wanted to make a subtle
hint to the audience that someone has
died by her dressing appropriate for a
funeral. However, her attire is still
fairly casual and would also be
appropriate clothing for a date
scenario.

Heart shaped pendant necklace

This is a very subtle part of her costume which
an audience member may overlook as many
teenage girls wear necklaces for different
reasons. We have chose to use a heart pendant
on the necklace as this is a clear sign that she
has affection for someone else and someone
feels the same about her. This hints to the audience that she
has a boyfriend.

Black leather Jacket

This black leather jacket is used as a
diversion to make Karina look more
casual to make it not obvious straight
away to the audience that she is going to
visit her boyfriends grave and that she is
just going out somewhere.
