Short Film Analysis Crazylove

A wide
tracking shot
of the man approaching the woman is used connoting them coming
together displaying him as confident. It also displays a
relationship/bond they have with each other as they are comfortable
being near one another. This is because he is able to engage in a
conversation with a female while sitting next to her.

The close up two shot of these two individual connotes to the

audience that they are close to each other representing romantic
intentions between the two people. The use of a shot reverse shot in
this scene displays the two people unsure about their feelings as
they are not always looking directly at each other. This is
emphasized through diegetic dialogue when she says he is
romantic. The argumentative flirting of the conversation clearly
displays the romantic feelings between the two.

The use of the cinematography in this two shot is clearly

representing the man having romantic intensions with the girl as
being close to her and concerned with what she is doing. The miseen-scene in this scene is used to emphasise this. The use of both of
the characters costumes colour being dull and plain means they
complement each other. Also the characters positions by them
sitting next to each other on the same bench displaying them as a
plausible couple.
