Ordinary? No way!

Fellow Toastmasters.
What are you thinking about that picture?
As we can see, there is a girl that full of flowers and holding a sword. I can describe
that picture to be: The girl, the flower, and the sword. That picture shows us that the
girl is an extraordinary girl, because she is a girl that must fight something with that
sword. And that is who I am. Im more than extraordinary. I am extraordinary and
multitalented. What do you expect from a 22 years old woman? Just a college
student? I am more than that.
I am a college student from Biology Department Universitas Indonesia, soon to be a
Bachelor of Science. I am a teacher, Ive been teaching biology since I was 19 years
old. I was married. I have one son, in this December he will celebrate his 4 years old
birthday. But now, I am a single parents which means I am both a mother and a
father. I am both a housewife and a backbone of the family. I could be a chef, cooks
a very tasty food every day. I could be an accountant, which manage the incomes
and the expenses of my family. I could be everything for my little family needs. Plus,
I am now a part of Sandoz Toastmasters club which is can helps me to be a good
leader.
At first, Im kind of jealous with my friends. Maybe they have a lot of free time that
they can use for everything they wants because the only responsibility they have is
their self-responsibility. I feel like I have no free time. I wake up the earliest and go
to sleep the latest. Sometimes, I didnt told people that I was married and I already
have one son. I act like an ordinary 22 years old college student. But deep in my
heart it doesnt really fit me.
After that, I keep thinking and asking myself. Is there any mistakes for being myself?
Whats wrong with a college student which a single parents, have one son, raise my
son alone, do all the house things, keep works every day to get money for the
family needs, and so on? Should I be embarrassed of myself? No. Because I am
great. I can do everything all by myself. Not everyone can do that. I must not be
jealous with others because I can do more than them.
Finally, Ive got all the powers and initiate start telling the world about myself.
Because I am great. I am extraordinary and I can do everything that I have to do.
Fellow Toastmasters, I am not just a college student. I am more than that. I am a
college student, a worker, and a mother. This is who I am and I am proud of being
myself.
