Permit for possession and use of ordinary denatured spirit for domestic
purposes
Permit is hereby granted under and subject to the provisions of the Bombay
Prohibition Act, 1949 (Bom. XXV of 1949), and the rules, regulations and orders
made there under, to................of..................(hereinafter called "the permit holder") on
payment of a fee of................ authorizing him to buy, possess, transport and use
ordinary denatured spirit for the purpose of domestic use, namely, .......... ...........at his

premises") and also at any other place within the State of Gujarat subject to the

The permit holder shall not use the ordinary denatured spirit for any
purpose except for the aforesaid purpose (s) of domestic use of his household.
3.
The permit holder shall not obtain his supply of ordinary denatured spirit,
except from a retail licensee of ordinary denatured spirit and shall not remove the
ordinary denatured spirit purchased by him from the shop of such licensee, unless he
gets the details of the purchase entered on the reverse of the permit by the licensee or
any person acting on his behalf.

The permit holder shall not transport from the licensed premises of the
retail licensee to his licensed premises, any quantity of ordinary denatured spirit
exceeding the purchased by him on the date of the transport in question and entered in
his permit against that date.
5.
The permit holder shall not have in his possession more than one reputed
quart bottle of ordinary denatured spirit at any one time.
6.
The permit holder shall not purchase in any one calendar month ordinary
denatured spirit exceeding...

...quart bottles in the aggregate.
7.
The permit holder shall not keep or use the ordinary denatured spirit
obtained by him at any place except at the licensed premises.

8.
Notwithstanding anything contained in conditions 4 and 7, the permit
holder may transport, possess and use ordinary denatured spirit obtained under his
permit throughout the State of Gujarat if the quantity of the spirit to be transported,
possessed or used does not exceed one quart bottle, and this permit accompanies such
transport, possession or use and is produced for inspection on demand by any officer
empowered under section 77 (a) of the Bombay Prohibition act, 1949. The certificate
shall remain with the stock of denatured spirit held at the licensed premises.
9.
This permit may be suspended or cancelled in accordance with the
provisions of section 54 of the Bombay Prohibition act, 1949.
10. In case this permit be suspended or cancelled during the currency of the
permit or not renewed on its expiry, the whole of the unused stock of ordinary
denatured spirit in balance with the permit holder shall forthwith be handed over by
him to the officer issuing the permit.
