Luke 17:7-10

NO PRICE TAG

We are Gods servants and thus, we ought to serve Him fully without asking for anything in return. Many
times, we tend to believe that our sacrifices and efforts for Him should be compensated, and our personal
prayers should be answered. After all, we did something good. But as it is written in the Holy Gospel:
We are unprofitable servants; we have done what we were obliged to do. God does not look at our
efforts but at the heart that we put in the deed.

Growing in our faith, we have come to realize that every single act of service for Him does not
have to have a price tag. It does not come with a ribbon of recognition or an assurance that a big
blessing will come our way. Being a servant is a loving sacrifice and does not demand a blessing
in return. Giving ourselves to Him is like saying, Father, use me; I am yours and you are my
Master. Through the Gospel, Jesus opens our mind to humbly serve Him using our God-given
strength and talents, remembering that each of one of us is His lowly servant, but so much
worthy of His love.
