This week our class will be focusing on why people immigrate to new places.
Immigration is an important part of our countrys history.
Here are some activities that you can do with your child to help reinforce the
skills well be practicing.
Word Workout
Words to Know: figurative language Help your child use the words to write
a made up story about a child coming to America.
Spelling/Phonics: long e You will say each word on the list and then give
your child five seconds to spell each word on the list correctly.
Comprehension: theme
Help your child read a story and complete a chart to find the theme.
