The First Week of School

Each student will create a mask that includes his or her hobbies,
favorite things, and any other things that define him or her. Each
student will also include a precept on his or her mask.
Introduce the Kindness Challenge using choosekind.tumblr.com. There
is a short video explanation.
o The Daily Challenge is posted in the hallway leading to the
cafeteria.
o Homeroom teachers will have a jar to keep track of their students
kind deeds. Classes that fill their jars can submit a picture of their
jar to the Certified Kind Classroom Challenge (Alyssas email).
There are prizes!
o In ELA, students will research and select a charity. They will then
persuade their classmates to choose their charity if they were to
be selected (problem-based learning activity).
