Things You Need to Prepare for Registration

Upon your arrival on NCTU campus:


1. Notify your family of your arrival ether via phone or e-mail
2. Registration
Date: September 7, 2016
Time: 09:00 12:00
Venue: International Conference Hall (Library 1F)

Agenda on the registration day:


A. Pick up the tuition bill, and dormitory payment (for campus residents only)
B. Pay Alternative Medical Insurance fee NT3,000 or pay National Health Insurance
NT4494 ( for students who currently have NHI)
C. Go to the Bursar Office of NCTU to pay the tuition bill and submit the copies of the
receipts and required documents back to the International and Cross-strait Services
Office. (Tuition bill can only be paid at E.Sun Bank, Post office or any convenient
stores.)
D. Submit Requirements

Note: please prepare the following items in advance and bring them with you to
join orientation:
1. International Student Registration Form (provide on registration day)
2. Student ID Card application (provide on registration day)
3. Insurance Statement
Please show us that your statement of overseas medical insurance for at least six months
coverage (cover the period from September 12, 2016 to March 12, 2017) notarized by
Taiwan Embassy (original notarization and one copy) If you do not purchase the overseas
medical insurance in your home country or if it is invalid, you will need to purchase
Alternative Medical Insurance (NT3,000/ 6 months). Students who currently have NHI
dont need to purchase Alternative Medical Insurance.
4. Diploma (and English/Chinese translation)-both notarized by Taiwan Embassy
(original notarization and one copy)
5. Transcript (and English/Chinese translation)-both notarized by Taiwan Embassy
(original notarization and one copy)
6. Official Admission Letter (original and two copies)
7. Scholarship Letter (original)
8. Four 2-inch size color photos (white background, taken within the last 6 months with
an image from the top of the head to the chin at the length of 3.2-2.6 cm)
9. Passport (original and three copies)
10. Two copies of visa with Taiwan custom entry stamp (please make copies after

arrive in Taiwan)
11. Three copies of ARC (if applicable)
12. One copy of National Health Insurance card (if applicable)
13. One copy of Taiwan Post Office account bankbook cover (if applicable)
The English/Chinese translation is required only when the diploma and transcript
are originally issued in other language. In such case, the translation should be
notarized by the Taiwan Embassy.
