Data science

The amount of data in our world has been exploding, and analyzing large data setssocalled big datawill become a key basis of competition, underpinning new waves of
productivity growth, innovation, and consumer surplus. We have more and more analytical
tools that make use of these data for business purposes, such as outlier detection, data
mining, recommendation systems and prediction (business analytics)
Bachelor theses could focus on aspects of data science. For example, you could focus the
role of business analytics in specific domain, e.g. logistics, auditing, or crisis response
management. Or you could focus on specific challenges, such as data integration, data
governance, open linked data, Internet of Things, Collective Awareness Platforms, mcommerce, etc. etc.
