Ukuran pokok kapal (ship main dimension)

Ukuran kapal dapat di lihat dari 2 sisi yaitu dari sudut pandang memanjang dan melintang kapal
baik panjang kapal, lebar kapal dan lain-lain. berikut adalah ukuran kapal yang saya kumpulkan
dari
beberapa
sumber.

Loa (Length over all) Adalah panjang kapal keseluruhan yang diukur dari ujung buritan
sampai ujung haluan.
Lwl : Panjang garis air kapal (Length of water line) Adalah jarak mendatar antara ujung
garis muat ( garis air ), yang diukur dari titik potong dengan linggi buritan sampai titik potongnya
dengan linggi haluan dan diukur pada bagian luar linggi buritan dan linggi haluan.
LBP (Length between perpendiculars) adalah ukuran kapal, Panjang antara kedua garis
tegak buritan dan garis tegak haluan yang diukur pada garis air muat.
AP : Garis tegak buritan ( After perpendicular ) Letaknya pada linggi kemudi bagian
belakang atau pada sumbu poros kemudi.
FP : Garis tegak haluan ( fore perpendicular ) Adalah merupakan perpotongan antara
linggi haluan dengan garis air muat.

B : Breadth ( lebar yang direncanakan ) Adalah jarak mendatar dari gading tengah yang
diukur pada bagian luar gading. ( tidak termasuk tebal pelat lambung ).

Bwl : Breadth of water line ( lebar pada garis air muat ) Adalah lebar yang terbesar yang
diukur pada garis air muat kapal.

Boa : Breatdh over all ( lebar maksimum ) Adalah lebar terbesar dari kapal yang diukur
dari kulit lambung kapal disamping kiri sampai kulit lambung kapal samping kanan.

H ( D ) Depth ( tinggi terendah dari geladak ). Adalah jarak tegak dari garis dasar sampai garis
geladak yang terendah, umumnya diukur di tengah tengah panjang kapal.

T : Draft ( sarat yang direncanakan ). Adalah jarak tegak dari garis dasar sampai pada garis air
muat.
Postingan yang sangat sederhana ini saya rasa sangat penting, apa gunanya kita membahas
kapal secara mendalam sedangkan dasarnya salah satu contoh ukuran kapal kita tidak tau.
Menurut pengalaman saya banyak kejadian yang aneh ketika kita di tanyakan tentang ukuran
kapal. salah satu kasus pada saat ujian komprehensif (seminar pertanggung jawaban tugas
perancangan kapal) kita gesit menjelaskan tentang seluk beluk kapal, alat-alat kapal, sistem pipa
maupun listrik kapal, eh pada saat di tanya masalah ukuran utama kapal malah tidak mengerti
(kejadian ini sangat sering terjadi, mungkin karna gugup atau entah lah..). ayo belajar kapal
mulai dasar dan kita melangkah step by step mulai lah dari ukuran kapal
