Protective Coating for
Thermal Insulation
LAG GOAT 30-6 is a water-based protective coating
for thermal insulation applications. It provides a highly
durable, tough, abrasion resistance coating, it has
excellent adhesion to various insulation materials,
such as canvas and fibregiass.
LAG COAT 30.6 is used for bonding and coating a
conditioning ducts, cold water pipes and vessels.
LAG COAT 30-6 also accepts foam insulation
materials lke polystyrene and polyurethane effectively.

Surface Preparation
All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust,
grease and other foreign matters.
Application
() Apply an even tack coat of LAG COAT 30-6 onto
;nvas or other lagging material at 1.7 ~ 2.m‘fitre.

(i) Wrap lagging fabric around pipe covering as.
protective jacket. Imbed the canvas cloth
immediately while coating is wet, smooth the
wrinkles and overlap seams by at least 5 cm.
(ii) Ensure ends are lapped to provice a definite seal.
(iv) Apply a second top finish at 1.7 ~ 2mfitre coat of
LAG COAT 30-6 over jacket to protect pipe
covering. The canvas cloth can also be dipped
directly where saturation and shrinkage are
required.Caution,
* Donot thin
+ Do not apply in excessive temperatures
* Do not permit installation to below freezing within 24
hours of application
Cleaning of Equipment
LAG COAT 30-6 is a water-based coating. Application
tools should be cleaned with fresh water while coating
is wet. Dry coating may be removed with hot water or
strong chlorinated solvents.
