The poem basically tells us how the author, Francesco Petrarch, felt when his
love Laura died.
2. Petrarch popularized a form of sonnet in which the first eight lines states the
problem and expresses deep emotion. While on the last 6 lines, the resolution
is stated.
3. The poet wishes for the comforting companionship of the bird so they can
weep together.
4. He thinks that his grief is not equal to the birds grief. The bird is sad
becomes of the absence of a lover who is still alive, while the poets lover is
dead.
5. But in the end, the sad season simply causes the poet to remember
bittersweet memories from his past.
*not everything in a persons life is enjoyable, but we should appreciate them
anyway.
*its so hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember
*maybe its not about the happy ending. Maybe its about the story
*I just let the pain take over, allowing it to numb the pain of being left behind
