Write a satire on a contemporary issue. 500 words, more or less, should be long enough for you
to play with irony, parody, exaggeration, etc. Probably you should pick a familiar topic. This
isnt a research paper, but the more you know about how the topic, the assumptions, and the
arguments, then the easier it will be to parody. A first draft is due Thursday for peer review
practice.
