An activity is said to be auspicious when it is performed to provide best results.

Behind every
activity, the expectations are always for good results. While deciding the schedule for any such
activity, one often looks for auspicious time or Shubh Muhurat.
What is a Muharat ? A Muhurat is the most benefic time chosen to initiate an event so that, not
only it is carried out without any hurdle, but it also provides best results. It is that period of time
which helps in concentrating the energy of the planets and other astrological factors in an
auspicious way so as to void the evil powers and make the result of the work performed most
fruitful.
If a work is started in a shubh Muhurat, it adds the possibilities of success. Muhurat harmonizes
forces with nature and improves chances of success.
Describing on a wider note, as the event takes birth at the time when it is performed for the first
time, thus that time decides its future completely. Thus while performing any auspicious activity,
favorable cosmic powers are ensured. So for a good fortune, a shubh muhurat is necessary.
So, whenever you are going to start an important event of your life, which either takes a
significant amount of your time and energy or is going to make its impact on your life for quite
some time, then you should perform that action in accordance to the shubh muhurat.
A muhurat is calculated based on the Vedic almanac, commonly called the panchangam. Muhurat
is calculated on the basis of many variables like

Activity and birth chart of the one who would perform the activity

Planetary position for particular day

Lunar day

'Nakshatra' during the period it is to be performed

The common period of all these benefic makes the shubh muhurat

Panchanga Shuddhi
According to texts such as "Muhurtha Chinthamai "and "Chackra Sangraha" There are a few very auspicious days
(Periods) in each year. Those are called the dates with "Panchanga Suddhi" meaning that Day, Nakshtra, Thithi,
Yoga and Karana are all auspicious at that time.
Suba Muhurtha
