QUESTION 1: If elected Prosecuting Attorney, what will be the priorities for your
administration and identify what areas for improvement will you focus on, if any ?
(70 word limit)
Continue aggressive prosecution of felonies and provide competent civil representation to elected officials, offices, boards and townships. We have worked hard to increase the
felonies filed by 23%. We sent felons to prison at a rate 72% higher than the State average.
We spearheaded the formation of County Land Bank to deal with blighted properties. Over
40 tax foreclosures filed to collect delinquent taxes and utilize the Land Bank.
QUESTION 2: Recently, Marion has seen both a dramatic increase in felony drug
filings and opiate overdose deaths. To what do you attribute these dynamics and
what strategies would you support, both inside and outside the criminal justice
system, to address them? (70 word limit)
Increased cases are due to aggressive enforcement and prosecution. Opiate abuse
increased with the prescription of pain medications. These medications are very addictive/
expensive. People turn to heroin because it is cheaper. Were attacking opiate abuse by
offering treatment to addicts, that want treatment, and seeking stiffer sentences for drug
dealers. We participate in the STAND Opiate Task Force and other resources to provide
awareness, education and treatment.

QUESTION 1: When the Legislature sets the state budget how should state money be
split between traditional public schools, charter schools, online schools, and nonpublic
schools (including vouchers)? What accountability standards should be required of
schools to receive state funds? (70 word limit)
The state budget formulation needs to be re-worked to return back funding such as
the corporate tax (CAT) that was re-routed away by our current Republican majority legislature negatively impacting school districts statewide. We need to reverse the free-fall of the
abysmal 39% graduation rate of charter schools and develop consistent standards that all
schools public and non-public follow supporting them with qualified teachers and staffing.
QUESTION 2: In 2015 Ohio voters passed a fair districting amendment to require state
legislative districts to be drawn more compact and non-partisan. What is your position
on extending these rules to US Congressional districts? (70 word limit)
Having over 70% of voters approving state redistricting it is evident the broad backing in
furthering efforts to expand with our U.S. Congressional districts which I would also support
but again with a voter-lead initiative. The new plan at least increases the minority partys
representation in the process. Current district maps reflect how the gerrymandered the
districts are adding to constituency confusion and effecting the representatives capacity.

practice of law for 30 years before being appointed to the State Legis-
lature, 2011.
QUESTION 1: When the Legislature sets the state budget how should state money be
split between traditional public schools, charter schools, online schools, and nonpublic
schools (including vouchers)? What accountability standards should be required of
schools to receive state funds? (70 word limit)
With the recent passage of HB 2, designed to define and strengthen accountability standards for charter and online schools, Ohios non traditional public schools are held to some
of the highest accountability standards in the nation. The first set of evaluations under this
new law are forthcoming. Since money from local levies and property taxes stay with the
traditional school district, all public school students should be state- funded equally.
QUESTION 2: In 2015 Ohio voters passed a fair districting amendment to require state
legislative districts to be drawn more compact and non-partisan. What is your position
on extending these rules to US Congressional districts? (70 word limit)
Let the new law regarding the drawing of state legislative districts be implemented before the State Legislature commits to drawing Congressional districts in the same manner.
Compacting districts, by itself, does not lead to fairer or more politically-balanced districts.
Finally, there should be accountability at election- time for those drawing the lines.

QUESTION: A bill passed in 2015 that will strengthen regulation of charter school across
the state. The new law requires in-depth financial and academic reporting from schools
and management organizations, stops charter school from switching to avoid getting
shut down, and prohibits poorly rated sponsors from opening new schools among other
provisions. Do you believe this legislation is sufficient? Why or why not? (350 word limit)
Given the large amount of tax dollars the State of Ohio allocates to charter schools1
billion dollars ($1,000,000,000) annuallycharter school, sponsor, and operator accountability is imperative. Beyond the magnitude of funding, schools that use local tax dollars,
traditional public or charter, should thus be accountable to local taxpayers. For instance,
in the school district I have served for 8 years, $3.8 million in taxpayer dollars have been
redirected to charter schools over the past 10 yearsroughly the annual compensation
for 5 teachers. About 80% of Shawnees funds come from local tax dollars approved by
voters for Shawnee Schools, not charter schools. Nevertheless, accountability in the charter
school sector has been insufficient and inconsistent, leaving use of tax dollars, student
performance, student attendance, teacher licensure, administrative costs, enrollment,
and qualifications of sponsors and operators unsupervised. In 2015, for instance, a study
found that among 5,800 organizations that received taxpayer funds in Ohio over the past
14 years, the 400 charter schools audited accounted for a full 70% of misspent money.
Perhaps most notably, David Hansen, ODEs school choice director, resigned last year after
it was revealed that he had excluded failing online charter schools from the evaluation of
charter school management organizations. After this mismanagement in Ohios charter
sector, reform understandably found a bipartisan audience among Ohioans dedicated to
fiscal responsibility. As a small business owner trained in economics, I heartily supported
and celebrated the passage of HB 2, the Ohio general assemblys historic, almost unanimous effort to reform charter school oversight. In order to restore Ohio to its former status
as a leader in education, the charter school reform movement that began with HB 2 must
continue. As a mother of four, I would work on the State Board of Education to ensure that
all Ohios children have the same opportunities I have enjoyed. Most importantly, we must
ensure that the tax dollars we spend on education in actuality prepare our children to be
the engaged citizens, legislators, physicians, educators, entrepreneurs, and innovators, as
well as to sustain a healthy, forward-looking society and economy.

QUESTION: Why are you running for this particular court seat?
I have a strong commitment to public service and great respect for the significant role
our legal system plays in the daily lives of Ohioans. A legal system that is restrained, that
respects the other branches of government, and that ensures a fair interpretation and application of the law allows for a more stable and prosperous economy, the greatest protection of Ohio families, and makes Ohio a better place to live and work. This philosophy has

PHYSICIAN
CAMPAIGN ADDRESS: 318 Franklin Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11238
PERSONAL STATEMENT: After a career in clinical medicine, I am now
practicing political medicine, running for President to help heal our
ailing nation. Your vote for me sends a clear signal that you want a new,
principled politics that puts people, planet and peace over profit.
Top Three Goals: 1. Green job-creation to fight climate change. 2. A
fair economy that eliminates unemployment 3. Justice, true democracy, and respect for all
human beings.
What will you do to support a vibrant economy across the U.S.?
Eliminate unemployment by creating a job for every American who needs work. Repeal
NAFTA and other trade agreements that export our jobs overseas and create immigration
surges. Create 20 million green jobs to stimulate the economy improving our health by
cleaning up our land, air, and water. Protect consumers and small businesses from big
banks and Wall Street predators.
What, if any, actions will you support to create a pathway to citizenship?
First, end the massive deportation schemes that have torn families apart. I would also end
the so-called Secure Communities program that has led to abuse of both citizens and
non-citizens. End the misguided free trade agreements and regime change wars that have
forced people to emigrate for their own survival. Finally, provide a welcoming and legal
path to citizenship for current immigrants.
What should government do to provide an equitable, quality public education
for all children pre-K through grade 12?
1) Protect our public schools from privatization schemes that will inevitably undermine the
American dream of quality public education for all.
2) Increase federal funding of public schools to make sure all school districts have the financial resources they need to provide quality education.
3) Ensure that kids come to school ready to learn: healthy, nourished, and secure.
What actions would you support the U.S. undertake to protect its interests
abroad?
Forge a new foreign policy based solidly on diplomacy, international law, respect for human rights, and consistent nonviolent support for democratic movements around the
world. End the misguided policies of militarism that have produced terrorist organizations,
refugee crises, failed states, and a bloated military that we can no longer afford.
What kinds of policies will you pursue to promote social and racial justice for all
Americans?
My plan to end unemployment will transform the economic life of low income communi-
ties that are now struggling with unemployment rates two or three times the national
average. Coupled with my commitment to quality public schools and community empowerment, we can not just lessen racial disparity, but bring it to an end.
BUSINESSMAN
CAMPAIGN ADDRESS: Donald J. Trump for President, INC 725 Fifth
Ave New York, NY 10022
PERSONAL STATEMENT: The government of the US should be focused on serving the people of this great nation, not special interests. The
government now rules rather than governs. The American people want
their government back and together we will make America great again.
Top Three Goals Secure our nation by restoring our leadership in the world; restore economic growth thru tax, trade, immigration, & energy reform; restore Constitutional limits
on government.
What will you do to support a vibrant economy across the U.S.?
I have proposed tax, trade, energy and immigration reforms that will bring trillions of dollars and millions of jobs back to the United States. Through immigration reform, we will
restore wage growth and reduce the related fiscal burdens on state and local governments.
These reforms will help lift wages and will create opportunities for millions of Americans to
get back in the workforce.
What, if any, actions will you support to create a pathway to citizenship?
We must re-establish the rule of law in this country. Criminal illegal immigrants will be
deported. No one should be given the gift of U.S. citizenship based on illegal behavior.
What should government do to provide an equitable, quality public education
for all children pre-K through grade 12?
My administration will provide states with incentives to increase school choice options for
parents and local school districts. Allowing the entrenched Washington education establishment and federal bureaucrats to leverage federal funds to dictate educational practices,
curriculum and outcomes must be stopped. Control of K-12 education must be returned to
parents and citizens locally.
What actions would you support the U.S. undertake to protect its interests
abroad?
We are the leader of the free world - whether we like it or not - and we must ensure we seek
partners willing to make sure our national interests are defended. We only gain this respect
from both adversaries and allies by having a strong military, being clear about defeating
radical Islam, & stopping rogue nations from attacking/threatening our citizens, economic
interests, resources and allies.
What kinds of policies will you pursue to promote social and racial justice for all
Americans?
The best way to ensure social & racial justice is to return Constitutional limits on government & appoint Supreme Court Justices who will defend the Constitution, not rewrite it.
The President must provide leadership & make sure the government works for the people.
We must ensure low income & minority children learn to read at grade level & not trap
them in failing schools based on zip code.

QUESTION: Explain why you do or do not think the US Congress should address the
influence of money in politics, especially in light of the US Supreme Court decision in
Citizens United.
It must. Money has destroyed our political process. Instead of debating issues, the
ordinary Parties mainly compete to see who can raise more money. The Citizens United (CU)
decision made it legal for corporations to bribe and blackmail politicians. Green Party candidates refuse to take money from corporations or corporate PACs. We believe corporations
are NOT people and money is NOT speech. The Supreme Court is out of control and needs to
be reigned in by the Congress. CU is just one of many decisions favoring corporations over
people, profits over protecting the Earth, and limiting our rights to free speech and assembly. In 2000, the Supreme Court awarded the Presidency to George Bush, even though the
full, final recount in Florida showed that Al Gore had won the election. The Democrat controlled Senate supported the Court, ratifying the election and failing in its role as a check on
the Courts power. As a Senator, I will restore our political process by reigning in the Court.

QUESTION 1: What should the federal governments top three priorities be in setting a sound energy policy? (75 word limit)
The federal government should (a) promote American energy independence and (b)
help the American economy by ensuring safe, reliable and inexpensive sources of energy
for consumers. The first step in achieving these goals is to reverse the Obama Administrations war on fossil fuels that has both threatened jobs and hurt consumers in Ohio. The next
step is to encourage new fossil fuel exploration while promoting market-based solutions for
renewable energy production.
QUESTION 2: Explain why you do or do not believe that the federal government
should ensure that every American has health coverage. How will you work to promote your position? (75 word limit)
Every American deserves affordable health insurance and access to high quality, affordable health care. The first step to achieving this goal is to repeal Obamacare which has
decreased patient choice, decreased the quality of coverage for too many, and increased the
cost of insurance. Effective health care reform will allow customers to choose their doctor
and insurance plan, will include market-based options like health savings accounts, and will
encourage competition among insurers.

QUESTION: What should the federal governments top
three priorities be in setting a sound energy policy?
There is no silver bullet solution to reaching energy independence, good
jobs and a cleaner environment for our country. Instead, I believe in a comprehensive, all of the above American energy strategy. Since Ive been in Congress,
Ive supported bills to expand safe domestic energy exploration. Furthermore, I
disagree with efforts to limit domestic oil and natural gas exploration. Ive also
supported important incentives for developing energy technologies as well as energy efficiency. We cannot simply drill our way to energy security, and we cannot
simply conserve our way to it either. We need to have a balanced approach. While
we have made progress, there is still much work to be done in implementing a
comprehensive, all of the above American energy strategy.
