NEW MEMBERS CLASSES

CONCLUDE TODAY
Classes have already started, but its not
too late for those who are looking to join St.
Johns or simply have questions about
membership. TODAY is our last meeting in
the Nazareth Room from 9:45-10:45 am.
Bring a roll & coffee and your questions to
the Nazareth Room (north hallway upstairs,
last room on the left). See you @ 9:45 AM!

On Sunday, Dec.11,
we will celebrate
50 Years on the Hill
with a special
worship service at
10 AM and
showcase a
Celebration of
Wreaths made by
YOU, the individuals
and households of St. Johns. Start thinking and
assembling now how would you be
represented? Wreaths will be displayed all of
advent throughout St. Johns and should not
necessarily be a reflection of the season.
Contact Pr. Justin or Carol Waggoner for more
information.

THERE ARE STILL DEVOTIONAL PAGES FOR

YOU TO PICK UP AND WRITE. THIS IS YOUR
FINAL OPPORTUNITY TO BE IN PRINT!
DEADLINE: MUST BE IN THE OFFICE BY
OCTOBER 20! Pages are available in the
back of the sanctuary.

Bright Horizons would like to thank

everybody who made such generous
donations of diapers and wipes to our agency
during our 2016 Diaper Drive. Because of
your kindness, Bright Horizons was able to
collect 4333 diapers and 6 packs of wipes for
our victims and their families! Our staff
truly appreciates all of the continued support,
as this makes it possible for us to continue to
serve victims of domestic violence and
sexual assault.

Majesty Choir practice for the Christmas Cantata

will begin on Thursday, October 20, @ 6:30
7:15 pm. At 7:15, we will move into regular
rehearsal for the Sunday worship service.

GBR! GO BIG REFORMATION!

Join us for a BIG RED weekend on October 2930 as we celebrate HUSKER FOOTBALL at a
Tailgate Party following the 5pm Saturday
Reformation worship. Nebraska plays @
Wisconsin at 6PM, so bring your munchies, wear
your lucky Husker gear, and well watch the game
on the big screen in the Community Room
downstairs. Parish Fellowship will provide the
drinks (soft, of course)!
On Sunday morning, well celebrate the
REFORMATION. Wear red and well welcome our
newest members and hand out Bibles to our 3rd
grade class. Dont miss the opportunities to GBR
on October 29-30!

Pastor David &

Pastor Justin --

The Lutheran World Relief InGathering is coming

November 7-10. We are in need of helpers to
receive boxes from area churches and get them
loaded on the truck. The boxes are of limited
weight, but we do need some muscle! If you
would be available, please sign up on todays
Registration Slip or call the office @ 402-3711985.
Noisy Offering, being collected at all services
next weekend, is used to help defray the cost of
shipping quilts, school kits, and sewing kits to
where they are most needed. Please remember
to bring your change (and quiet, folding money)
to worship next weekend!

FIFTH MONDAY LUNCHING

Chosen ChristCare will be dutch dining again
