Introduction
Nanotechnology refers to the science and engineering of particles that are on the
nanoscale, which is are about 1 to 100 nanometers (nm) in size. There are numerous numbers of
nanotechnology products that are available in the market now and one of them is carbon
nanotubes.Carbon nanotubes are one of the greatest invention in nanotechnology area because of
its great combination in the structure, topology and its physical properties.Carbon nanotube
(CNTs) are known as the seamless cylindrical hollow fibres which comprised of a single pure
graphite (a hexagonal lattice of carbon simliar to a chain link fence) and have a diameter of 0.750 nanometer lengths. It have cylindrical structures made up of carbon molecules with special
properties in thermal conducitivity, mechanical and electrical properties.[1] Carbon nanotubes is
usually used as an additive to different structural materials like it forms a small portion of carbon
fiber products like (baseball bats, car parts of damascus steel).[2]

There are several possible applications for these materials especially in electronic devices
and interconnects, field emission devices, electrochemical devices, such as supercapacitors and
batteries, nanoscale sensors, electromechanical actuators, separation membranes and filled
polymer composites. The nanotube material can be produced either by laser vaporization method
or the crbon arc method appears in a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) image as mat of
carbon bundles or ropeswith diameter 10-20nm in diameter and up to 100m or more in length.[3]
