Get Ready: Introduce the module and the key words. Check that Ss understand the meaning of new
words in the Module objectives. Encourage Ss to use their knowledge in Geography to talk about
different climate regions.

Exercise 1: Ss check the meaning of the Key Words in the Picture Dictionary. Encourage Ss to say why
they like their favourite season. Ss talk about the weather in their country in Exercise 2.

Exercise 3: Check that Ss understand the vocabulary in the table. Ask them read and listen to the text
and then match the three climates with the photos on the page.

Exercise 6: Ss read and copy the rules about nouns into their notebooks. Ask Ss if these words are
countable or uncountable: snow (U), month (C).
