CHARLESTON, WV The Mark Hunt for Congress campaign called out Alex Mooney today for his blatantly false campaign ad on fighting West Virginias drug crisis. Absentee Alex hasnt done anything to help combat the States drug crisis and curb opioid addiction for two years, but because were three weeks away from the election, hes suddenly interested in talking about it, said campaign manager Jeff Worcester. When a non-partisan, national drug summit was held in Charleston earlier this year, Absentee Alex couldnt even make it back to his district to attend. Worcester says if Mooney were really interested in helping West Virginians recovery, he wouldnt be accepting campaign contributions from very pharmaceutical companies who are destroying this great State. West Virginia has the highest overdose rate in the nation and our children continue to die in record numbers, but Maryland Mooney is more interested in his re-election campaign than fighting the drug crisis, said Worcester. Hes been hiding from his constituents since taking office two years ago. Now, because hes down in the polls and his congressional seat slipping through his fingers, he wants to pretend hes been fighting the fight all along, but we know better Alex. Worcester says these are just some of the reasons residents are turning to Mark Hunt for representation in West Virginias Second Congressional District. Mark in an honest man. Hes a life long West Virginian who was raised on West Virginia values. This great State is facing serious issues and it is going to take serious leadership to put West Virginia back on the path to prosperity. Mark Hunt is one of us, and will always put people before corporate interests. West Virginians know its time to send
Absentee Alex back to Maryland, and replace him with a man who wont abandon them during their toughest times; Mark Hunt. ###
