SPORTS FACILITIES AVAILABLE IN CHANDIGARH

The Sports Department, Chandigarh Administration and Chandigarh Sports Council
offer the Sports Facilities for Coaching and training purposes in Chandigarh. The Coaching and
training in all the sports disciplines is imparted by the sports coaches of the Department / Council.
The Department also allows the use of its stadia / grounds to conduct competitions / coaching camps
of State/ National / International levels against charges. There are full time Managers/ Supervisors
for the maintenance and smooth functioning of the Stadiums.

Rs.400/Note :- The users charges shall be for a financial year. Any student or non-student joins in between
the financial year shall have to pay Annual charges only.

Stadia / Centre shall be provided free of charges to the Chandigarh Sports Council,
Chandigarh, Special Olympics Chapter, recognized Chandigarh Blind Associations, Deaf and Dumb
Association and recognized Chandigarh Disabled Associations to hold State (all groups)/National
championships, other tournaments and camps for Trials. Education Department UT Chandigarh
shall also be provided all the Stadia / Centre free of charges with security amount as per the stadia /
centre of the Sports Department for holding the inter Schools, Schools National tournaments other
tournaments/selection trials organized by them. Moreover, waive off the booking charges and
conditions shall remain with the Director Sports.
The Ground/Court/Hall/Training Centre booked for hosting/organization of Sports
tournament / Meet / Championship other than the designated discipline shall be charged @ Rs.
2,000/- for the concerned Centre / stadia per day with refundable security of Rs.10,000/-. Timings
would be: 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Terms & conditions for the booking charges shall be as under:

U.T. Associations: free of Cost. Recognized State Championships in the categories of SubJunior, Junior and Senior Level. Besides holding of North Zone and National
Championships timings for recognized U.T. Sports Associations shall be 9.00 A.M. to 7.00
P.M as per clause of terms & conditions.
The reservation can be cancelled at any time by the department with or without any notice at
its discretion.
The organizer shall be liable to pay for the damage as may be caused in any way during the
utilization by them
The booking is non-transferable/adjustable.
The security as prescribed against each Centre is required to be deposited with the cashier
of this office.
The organizer shall pay the Daily Allowance to the employees those who will be engaged by
them during the gazetted holidays / all second Saturdays / all Sundays etc.
The confirmation of the booking for the said date will be subject to deposit of the booking
amount in advance with the Cashier of Sports Departments, Sports Complex, Sector 42,
Chandigarh
Tentage measuring 15x30 for seating and 15x15 for refreshment/tea/snacks be allowed.
No cooking of food shall be allowed. No taped posters shall be pasted on the walls of the
Halls, premises etc.
No banners / posters of sponsors are allowed in the entire premises.

Prior permission from the competent authority is required before installation of high pitch
sound system.
The booking charges are non-refundable.
The marking of ground / courts etc, including the material shall be the responsibility of the
organizer.
The use of Tobacco and alcoholic products are prohibited in sports stadia / Centre.
Rs.20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only) per day shall be charged in addition to the
booking charges for international matches of all the disciplines except Cricket Stadium.
Any violation or indiscipline caused of any kind tantamount to forfeiture of security money
and non-booking of stadia in future.
